That's somewhat irrelevant. Ever see some of the dumbass **** posted by libertarians? In general, I have found that folks that are so serious about their political views as to carry them to the comments section of a news article, regardless of party affiliation, have some crazy.

Not disputing that at all; just pointing out that the crazy is TheRiov's politically affiliated crazy for clarity's sake.

Really? I don't get that at all. Certainly the site attracts liberals, but from the information in the post one cannot make any statement about the poster's political bent.

Indeed, its been my experience the hippie movement was anti-nuke in large part because of fear of nuclear war. Yet this poster clearly expresses a lack of fear of nuclear war.

(granted this person is likely off their meds, and I highly doubt they're going to fit in ANY standard political classification)

He's probably the kind of guy that would go out into the alaskan wilderness and poke bears with a stick because the government has overblown the bear mauling agenda. Everyone knows that bears don't really maul people except at certain times of the year when the oscillations of the poles combine with solar flares to create BearMania.

I read a significant sample of comments on the page Arafys linked, TheRiov; and I made the determination that the majority of its audience shared more with your political views than mine. I made this determination, oddly, because of several things: rhetoric, argument content, argument structure, emotional elevation in text, etc. And I said they were sympathetic to your political views and thus affiliated by political likenesses as opposed to political differences. I didn't say you were crazy; I said that's the crazy on your side of the aisle. Don't worry, there's plenty of crazy on the other side of the aisle, too.
