Yes. If it's a normal work week I'll do a quick once-over and be done. If I'm going for a close shave, three passes with reapplication of lather before each. One pass with the grain, the perpendicular, then against. Short strokes, no razor burn. Works best after a hot shower.

Those of you who do use safety razors: do you shave against the grain? I never had problems doing the first pass with the grain, but going for an ultra close shave usually irritated my skin.

Once with the grain, once against the grain, usually immediately without reapplication of shaving cream. I almost always have to re-do parts of my neck and a part on my chin with shaving cream. No matter how much I change angles, I always have to do those trouble-spots like 3 times.

Switched to DE shaving a few weeks ago. Wasn't all *that* jazzed about it initially. But that was all down to the blades.

First blades I tried were Merkur. Bottom line, they sucked ***. Pulling and tearing my face fuzz out by the root it felt like. So, out they went.

I also got a 5 pack of Gillette when I got the razor. These were better, and I managed to rip a huge chunk of skin out of my shin, but they were still kinda eh.

FF to getting a box of 100 astra blades off Amazon. $16 for a hundred blades that are supposed to be pretty good? Alright, I'll bite. Shaves similar to a cartridge, but WAY cheaper. Astras are pretty good.

FF again to today when I got a pack of 50 feathers in the mail. Same price as the Astras, but half as many. I can dig it, np. These things laughed at my facial hair. They were all "come at me bro!" I put my game face on, and shaved it the **** off. These are the bomb diggity. Best shave I have had in a long while.

Yar. It makes the road rash easier to care for. If it happens. Which I hope it doesn't.
