Is actually pretty cool. 4th ed plays much better in an mmo than it does on a table ;)

Well to be fair...they tried to make a table top that felt like an MMO.

Been playing off and on since September. I enjoy it and will likely pick it up when it goes live. It's a bit more action oriented than your traditional MMORPG and your skills/power bars are much consolidated and streamlined.

I wish it had a barbarian class though. I expect it will eventually come.

Hey Numbuk - have you picked it up yet?

Its F2P, so there's no real barrier to entry. And technically its open now. They say open beta, but there won't be any more character wipes.

Yeah, that's why I'm asking if he picked it up ;)

It's just like when MWO went open beta. You gotta ask yourself, what *really* is the difference between OB and Launch for an F2P?

Fair enough ;)

I will say that I liked my brief "beta" experience enough to order the $60 founder's package. ;)

I opted-in at the $30 level, and have yet to turn on my 'bonus' since they reset it and gave us the button.

I'm waiting until I've got a computer with enough oomph to do the game justice.

Qu'est queue c'est?

On slightly more serious note : a co-worker just said to me today "You rolled up a Devoted Cleric? Congratulations, you're the tank. Threat is a bit ... broken."

Wonder how long that'll take to fix.

Yeah, there's a display issue with the queue. Although, it *was* horrendous last night.

Or the mobs are smart... ;) Isnt "Kill the healer" what you as a player normally do? ;)

Having being a fan of some of the other perfect world games, I picked this up yesterday just to mess around in it.

Not sure I like the targeting system, its almost FPS. I keep forgetting and try to click on my skills/inventory, causing my world to go all sorts of funny and giving me a headache.

The tutorial, what little there was, doesn't help with the game all that much, but it does give the game an almost EQish feel. I kinda like getting lost in this world and exploring, rather than following the glittery line.

I look forward to what else they bring, but I would love it more if they changed the targeting system.

From one of the dev videos I watched, I dont think they will. Pretty sure they wanted it to be an action RPG with positioning and movement and stuff

the targeting isn't as bad once you get used to it. It annoyed the **** out of me too at first. Still does a little bit.

Gave this a shot, pretty decent action RPG, chat window is annoying as hell, scrolls by at 90 mph. I dislike Realms, but the game mechanics are solid, so I can ignore most of that

I had to make the font larger. Holy crap, it never stops. Gonna have to play with it in the morning, see if there are filters.

I think I spent more time remapping the keys than anything else. I've had zero problems with the game over all.

Darmot Kromwell, on Dragon Server.

Hit level 10 today. Still no real problems with the game. I kinda like it.

When/if they get back to me on straightening out my account linking, I'll probably download and give this a whirl.

Quick question in the meantime -- what are the class options?
