Spoiler:
I see they are borrowing from Eureka's well of "Oh **** we accidently wrote ourselves into ending the series, thank-god-for-magic/technology-resets and do-overs!"

Nah, they've done that since the very first season.

Bump, because this has finally resumed again.

Edit:

I still really want to just go have a beer with Scags. Is that weird?

When did it start? I knew it was soon, but I thought it was next week.

Well, this is weird. Hulu has had episode 11 up since some time last week, but the "aired date" is showing as 4/29, so I don't know what's going on. In any case, it's still up on Hulu for the next 4 days if you want to catch it early.

Edit:

Okay, apparently Hulu cut a deal for an early air date. So 4/29 is the correct air date for television release. I think it's only just this episode that they'll be airing early, but I'm not sure.

In other news, James Marsters. Yay.

I hope Jinx isn't too busy chasing Joe on the Following to keep running down artifacts...

Is the whole season on Hulu or just the current episode?

W13 is the only thing on Syfy worth watching. Even then, it's a very flighty, frothy concoction, but enjoyable. It has made strides toward being more emotionally resonant, so kudos there.

I still don't want those two to get together, and they seemed like they were going that direction last season.

Other than the part where he's gay, yes, I suppose it seemed that way :D

I assumed he meant Micha and Pete, or maybe Artie and the Doctor.

Sorry, I meant Micha and Pete. I was to lazy to look up the names and when I was typing they eluded me.

And its gone.

Quote:
Syfy has assured everyone that after wrapping up, Warehouse 13 will be turned over to “top men.” When questioned further, they replied:

“Top. Men.”

Deadline has revealed that Syfy’s four year old series Warehouse 13 is being cancelled. Fortunately, the show will get a fifth season to wrap itself up.

“Warehouse 13 has been an incredible signature series for us,” said Syfy President of Original Content Mark Stern. “We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan base and know that Jack Kenny, his gifted creative team, and outstanding ensemble cast will give them an amazing finale season.”
Unfortunately, it’s going to be a half season of only six episodes, though I suppose this shows that Syfy has learned its lesson from the backlash to the cancellation of Eureka that left show runners scrambling to rewrite the ending of a season they were in the midst of filming. Eventually the network okayed an extra final episode in order to give time to tie up loose ends and say goodbye to characters. Warehouse 13‘s final season has not yet begun filming, which hopefully leaves enough time for showrunners to bring the series to a satisfying close.

Goddamnit SyFy.

Well, OK, that's better. Way to bury the lede.

Admittedly, its ratings are slipping (its first season averaged over 3 million viewers; this year is around 1.5), but still. Crazy.

I guess Syfy's putting all of its eggs in the Defiance basket. Hope it crashes and burns for them.

Dammit, Syfy, you had one job. ONE JOB.

The problem with this show is the two leads (the secret service people) absolutely sucked as actors/actresses. It's a shame because i loved the concept of the show, but it lost me in the first season because the acting drove me crazy.

Jesus, who the hell is running that network? I used to watch tons of shows on "Sci Fi", now other than this one and Defiance, I can't name a single one. Freaking idiots.

They're not great, but their writing gets better. Stick around for Claudia, Jinx, and Artie. They make the show.

(I do enjoy the brother/sister relationship of Pete and Myka, but it's Claud/Jinxy/Artie that keep me watching. And I have a feeling you'd like HG Wells, Talya.)

I think my problem is the lack of an overall story arc.

5 decent seasons is nothing to be ashamed of. It's better than limping along for a decade after you were great. (Yes I'm still looking at you, Matt)

S2, S3, and S4 have all had a season-long arc (actually, S4 has two).
