While this would be awesome, I am going to call total BS on this until the official word has come out. I think someone is trolling Microsoft into "confirming" all of these horrible policies all over again. If it's true, that would be great, but after sticking to their guns through an absolutely horrible PR announcement period, I'd be amazed if they changed them now.

And the innovative sharing features have gone by the wayside with the removal of the online checkin.

I wonder if they also suddenly realized that the "hardcore gamerz" of the 80s and 90s are not kids anymore and are now their target market with the disposable income that will be the bulk of their sales or non sales.

Cheaper games. Easier sharing. The end of discs. The Xbox One would have been just fine despite the chorus of haters, would have been a better system for ignoring them. Microsoft losing its nerve on this isn't just disappointing for the features we lose. It's unfortunate because it shows just how heavy an anchor we can be.
