Sure, what he said is insensitive and not funny. But...

In my opinion he has the right to say it. He wasn't threatening any person or any place specifically. He was obviously joking, but even without the LOL and JK he shouldn't have received this harsh of a treatment. What's next? All the kids who play Halo getting sent to prison because they keep saying how much they are going to rape their friends? Or anyone who has ever uttered the phrase "I am going to kill that son of a *****!" doing hard time because of it (and this one is even worse because, again, it's directed towards someone SPECIFIC).

I'm all for some limits being placed on Freedom of Speech (shooting your jizz into a politicians ear on the capital building's steps to let him know you disagree with his views, for example), but this one isn't up there.

**** the folks who put an undeserving kid in jail. If you're THAT concerned he's a menace2society then how about getting him a psychiatric evaluation and/or help? That would be better for all involved. But no, lock him and hide him away. If we can't see him, he's not a problem and we can forget we are oversensitive, uncaring douchestains.

Haven't you learned if a gun (real or imagined) is considered being near or at a school (real or imagined) it's a real threat? It's sort of like "bomb" and "airplane" and "any form of violence" and "President" *waves at the CIA* It's stupid, but it's not new or isolated stupid.
