So, it's rumored this will be beginning any time now. Has anyone else quit buying daily deals, sales, etc for the last couple weeks in preparation for this? I fully expect to buy many games that I will not get around to playing for a long time.

I always forget there is a sale they do during the summer. A summer sale. But I am glad for the reminder, as I was just thinking about purchasing some games. I am definitely going to hold off on that until the sale.

Looks like amazon is getting into the PC summer sale business as well.

Borderlands+Borderlands2+DLC Season Pass for 21.99. Not too shabby, since the season pass is 20 bucks.

Green Man Gaming supposedly has just BL2 + Season Pass for $13.99 (use promo code: GMG10-U49LX-GAE17), but the site is down for maintenance at the moment. Season Pass is normally $30 and does not come with the add-on characters (mechromancer and psycho).

Been having so much fun with this game. The final DLC they just released is awesome. Basically one of the characters DM's a D&D game that you play within. So instead of shooting psychos and robots, you're shooting orcs and skeletons and spending eridium to roll 20-sided dice that determines loot quality. The ending was a good combination hilarious and poignant. Probably one of the best DLC's I've ever played.

That's excellent, the promo material they had released had me intrigued. I'll definitely pick it up now based on your recommendation.

Thanks for the heads up. Picked this up last night and got it downloaded. I really enjoyed Borderlands, but I haven't gotten a chance to try Borderlands 2, yet. Gonna be trying it out when I get home from work. Looking forward to it.

Either that was a short term sale or wasn't working, can't seem to get that code to work. I'll keep an eye out.

Yep, you can follow the countdown timer on today's deals (currently Alice), the summer sale should turn on when it hits zero, assuming the information saying it starts today was accurate.

Oh man, this steam trading card thing is going to be awesome and dangerous. At least a good excuse to replay some old games. Trading cards for playing psychonauts? Don't mind if I do!

I don't get it either, seems dumb. You collect cards from different games to complete sets, which turn into badges, which you redeem for dumb **** like a wallpaper on your profile?

Pass.

All steam games on sale in decending percentage of discount:

http://steamdb.info/sales/

All game packages (games + dlc, multiple games, games +soundtracks)

http://steamdb.info/sales/?displayOnly=Package&cc=us

Also, did some more digging on the trading card thing, kind of disappointing that it's linked to play time now and not anything specific. So i'll probably just get them as I play naturally, don't give a crap about grinding, same as I felt for steam achievements.

Ok, this thing is amazing, it tells you how many games you own, how long you've spent, and how many you have never played.

All the humble bundles I've bought have completely wrecked my stats. :)
