I'm off the next two weeks and I swear it feels like I have to get a year's worth of work done so I can go away for 2 weeks.

vacation days should be called Pile all of my **** up until I am back day. That is all they ever are.

Vacations come at a drop of the hat based on the projects going on and schedules. I haven't had a full true vacation in 13 years.
Long weekends yes.
I so want to go to many places and spend some time.

So far, I'm at 87 hours for this week, because I'm going on vacation next.

I enjoy having finally worked myself into a job where my assignments are long term, priorities are high but not "OMG we need this Yesterday!" and I can plan ahead for my vacations.

Same. I'm headed to the lake house for the first two weeks of August, and I've spent atleast 70 hours at the office each of the last three weeks building in contingencies, setting client and office expectations, and tieing up loose ends.

Funny aside, when I read the thread title I thought Taly was ***** about traveling while constipated.
