I know most of the FPS'ers on here seem to be TF2 guys, but I thought I'd check to see if there was anyone else looking forward to Infinity Ward's latest project. Divinity & I play CoD4 quite a bit even now, and have been looking forward to the new one.

Multiplayer game play.

Looks pretty cool. Is the single-player campaign going to be as solid as the last one?

I believe it will be Screeling. There had been a lot of people asked if it would be longer then the single player campaign in CoD4. Their answer has been that length is not their objective, they want to have a good story with nice pacing that made sense, instead of adding stuff to inflate the number of hours. Which I thought was a good answer.

Here is 8 minutes worth of single player campaign footage from back at E3.

Loki,

Good to know. I was hoping there might be some Modern Warfare fans lurking around the glade. LOL

I'm eager, though without Kaffis' brother living here (the big console buyer of the house) I doubt I'll get in on it.

COD4 Modern Warfare was hands down my favorite FPS ever. I loved the single player game and the online game.

According to IW's community manager, tomorrow they are having a 'multiplayer reveal event'.

With any luck there'll be some more bits of information.

I've got a preference for World At War, but MW was also pretty good. I'll probably look into it and maybe get it from Gamefly.

Isn't World at War a WWII game, though? The best thing about Modern Warfare was that it wasn't yet another boring WWII shooter.

Yeah, but for me, who never played a WW2 game before then, it was pretty new. :)

Tuesday they had a big multiplayer reveal, with tons of information coming out.

Interview with 402 Lots of good info here.

2 MP Videos Team death match variety.

5 MP videos From a demolition game type.

And then also, they revealed a MW2 Edition 250gig Xbox 360 Elite package, that comes with 2 controllers, plus MW2.

250 Gig 360

That actually doesn't seem like that bad of a deal. Considering the normal 120gb elites are $299. For an extra $100, you get a hard drive over twice as big, an extra controller and the game. Not bad at all.

Story this time looks like it is going to be even better than the first. Modern Warfare was the first and so far only FPS to suck me into the story.

Can't wait.

Good story, but the pacing sucked. CoD:MW felt intense every step of the way.

I always cringe when people say Half-Life had a good story. It was incredibly boring and has one of the most one dimensional main characters ever. Story got better in Half-Life 2, but Gordon Freeman is still a super lame *** character. And it's a damn shame they killed off my favorite character in Episode 2.

Damn, that's cold. Poor Gordon, he gets no respect!

Half-Life didn't keep my interest long enough to even finish the first, so I never bothered with HL2 or its episodes.

You ever play Bioshock? I think it had a fairly cool story.

That new trailer looks amazing. I may actually buy that game instead of borrow it from a friend.
