Not that big a deal yet here...only about 6 inches (although everyone in Maryland seems to lose their mind the second they see the first snowflake...).

lol yes.. Here too! You would think it was the first snow they ever drove in! Followed 20 mile an hour lady most of the way home from work..heat blasting in my face made me sleepy so I had to open the window to wake up before I ended up like mr Fearless SUV man who couldn't stand the 20 mph and ended up in the ditch about a mile up the road.

Colphax...no fair) now I want a blizzard and all DQ's are closed till spring :p

Yeah, that's fantastic, isn't it? I remember those days (in Wisconsin), didn't realize that some still close for the winter.

And, sheesh, 6" in Maryland? Forget it man, you ain't movin' for days. :)

Kirra - Good time to start a fire on the hearth and burn everything he left behind.

His books made quite a nice little fire..took me a bit to get it started but, I eventually won! Now I gotta venture out into the cold tundra and get my butt to work. Wish I could hire someone to clean my car off and start it. For some reason the garage door opener didn't work..and I am mechanically impaired. Wonder who fixes stuff like that.

We've got seasonal DQs out here too. >_>

I have to pull into the driveway if there's any other passengers in my car, because I park next to a snowdrift that goes up to halfway over my window.

We ended up with about two feet when it finally ended sometime last night.

Why couldn't this storm have started tonight instead...would have closed work tomorrow (and maybe tuesday ) ;)

We have about a foot in northern part of NJ. It stinks! If there's one thing I hate, it's shoveling snow. And our DQ's are seasonal here, too, except for a the ones you walk in.

Don't know what you're talking about....

You've been inside with the baby, while I was out shovelling CARS for the past 2 hours. ;)

Don't you love it when your toes or fingers get too cold and they swell up when they start warming up? That's one of my choice memories from growing up with real winter.

I spent my afternoon driving and hiking through the cold tundra hunting for the elusive quail. It was chilly, damn near 70 degrees, had to wear a long sleeve shirt.

Man. Came in from shoveling out 2 cars and a lot of sidewalk space. My fingers were itching like crazy until the blood got fully back into them.

Wait... by "choice" you mean "fond", don't you... :(

I was only on the edge of this storm (6" maybe?) and I was still tromping around for nearly an an hour wondering how people could like winter! :p I came to the conclusion that all of you who like it do not currently live in a real wintery place! And no one should be bringing logic into this discussion claiming the contrary, cause there really is no other explanation.

The only happy weather-related moment recently was when I discovered this outdoor broom thing with soft rubbery bristles makes cleaning off cars so much easier. Then I realized I was happy because the required work wasn't as bad as it previously was, and thought of the people who will go outside tomorrow and feel actual warmth, and was sad again. Alas!

I really need to move somewhere warm.

We had about 20 minutes of snow a couple weeks ago. Yes, I have pics.
