I know, right, the site of Superbowl L isn't in San Francisco.

Sorry Mike, the office here is in full trash talk mode, guess it spilled over onto the forums.

Gonna be a heck of a game this weekend.

I've been wanting to visit those Islands, seem like a nice place from the pictures.

Cuz were so tight, I'll let you in on my secret!

I get those from the Emergency Cute Stuff (@EmergencyPuppy) twitter feed.
https://twitter.com/EmergencyPuppy

And looking at it, I realize I made a hilarious mistake. I misread the caption on the tweet for that photo. It was supposed to say "Corgis" instead of "CornDogs"....

In my defense, I missed lunch today and was hungry when I posted that :p

I read it as Corndogs and it still made perfect sense to me :)

Here, some nice pictures of the San Jauns and Friday Harbor when the weather is a little less interesting...

This is the place, for those not familiar with the local geography...

You have an odd definition of "less interesting".

Anyway, I have been there and it is a pretty cool place, but I don't understand why the sky is blue in those photos.

Summer's here are always warm and sunny. The rain we're famous for comes mostly in the fall and winter months.

It's probably good that most people believe this area to be overly wet/rainy/cloudy. The northern latitude contributes to the dark/dreary reputation, but again, that's the fall/winter months. Spring and Summer are almost always awesome. :)

Edit:
Hmm, Sept 16th is "Stay Away from Seattle Day"
http://www.king5.com/video/featured-vid ... 08083.html

Maybe I should tone down the tourism pics? :D

No, though those aren't bad for a weather fan. I've been looking at a lot of places to go, and Midgen renewed my interest in the Great Northwest. The San Juan Islands seem to have a reputation as an artist's community as well as several other things. There are lots of pictures of the islands on-line.

I want to actually visit Seattle someday. Closest I've been is inside SEATAC waiting for a connection to Kalispell. Both trips, both coming and going, I had over 2 hours wait time...not enough to go do a sightseeing tour, but waaaaay too long to hang out in an airport...any airport!

The best parts of Seattle are all of the beautiful places around it. The city itself doesn't do much for me.
