Don't you love it when your toes or fingers get too cold and they swell up when they start warming up? That's one of my choice memories from growing up with real winter.
Man. Came in from shoveling out 2 cars and a lot of sidewalk space. My fingers were itching like crazy until the blood got fully back into them.
Wait... by "choice" you mean "fond", don't you...
Well, "choice" in a nostalgic, crap-I-hated-that-at-the-time kind of way, yeah.

I was only on the edge of this storm (6" maybe?) and I was still tromping around for nearly an an hour wondering how people could like winter! :p I came to the conclusion that all of you who like it do not currently live in a real wintery place! And no one should be bringing logic into this discussion claiming the contrary, cause there really is no other explanation.
I know, it's a sickness. I don't live in a wintry place now, I have to admit. But I never got tired of it when I did. I love walking in snow, probably wouldn't enjoy the amount of driving in it that I'd have to do as an adult now.

The only happy weather-related moment recently was when I discovered this outdoor broom thing with soft rubbery bristles makes cleaning off cars so much easier. Then I realized I was happy because the required work wasn't as bad as it previously was, and thought of the people who will go outside tomorrow and feel actual warmth, and was sad again. Alas!
I really need to move somewhere warm.
Led Zeppelin, man.
