-8º F here this morning and over 10" of snow fell yesterday.

It's so funny watching my Shih Tzu's try to not put their little feet actually on the ground...

I found this info and thought it interesting that there are so many of the "top 10" snowfalls that happened during my lifetime here in STL, so I figured I'd share.

Currently 82 degrees and sunny, with a nice breeze out of the northwest at 10mph.

By tonight, 39 degrees, with winds gusting to 30mph. Wind chills below freezing :o Might lose a few bushels of tomatoes, and my grapes... :cry:

We had, like, a 50 degree swing from sunrise yesterday to sunrise today. And it's still been plummetting.

Sometime after they redefine the word "nature".

Also, this is really irrelevant. The entire point behind the concerns over human-induced global warming is that humans are influencing it. We can control our own behavior, so separating out our own impacts is appropriate.

If human-induced global warming advocates really wanted the topic to get the attention they feel it deserves, instead of focusing on, "OMG! We are destroying teh natuerz and must stop!" they would be better served with a, "It would be really cool if we could control the Earth's weather," approach.

My sister's husky and German Shepherd were begging to go outside and she had a hard time getting them to come back inside.

Seriously? Huskies are an indigenous arctic breed. German Shepherds, unless they're from the show-strain of the breed, are double coated working dogs which are technically still wolf-dog hybrids. More proof your sister's dogs were probably less comfortable in her 72 degree house than outside.

Also, German Shepherds are generally the number one reason dog shows, AKC dog breeding standards, and other such nonsense should be illegal.

It was a joke. To a human that would probably die after 15 minutes of exposure, it was pretty funny watching those two dogs were run around in the snow happy as ever for hours at -20 degrees.
