/sigh

The "PEDs" thing was last year and it was freaking adderall. Thurmond and Browner got busted for marijuana this year.

You think Sherman was the only one trash talking? I guarantee you the 49ers were chirping the entire game until Kaepernick choked it away.

Settle down homer.

While I'm sure the trash talk was going on, Sherman the idiot was the only one to show himself to be the thug ads moron that he is. I hope Manning makes him cry.

Way to amp up the trash talk...

What makes him an idiot?

He has a four year degree in communications from Stanford, and if you listen to his press conferences, he's fairly well spoken, at least as typical NFL players go.

He also writes for Peter Kings MMQB at SI.com. He has some interesting takes on things...

http://mmqb.si.com/column/in-this-corner/

Remember, he's a 24 year old fifth round draft pick in the NFL, not the Ambassador to Great Britain. Talking trash is part of the game. He and many of his team mates have a pretty big chip on their shoulders for various reasons.

Besides, how can you not love a guy that craps all over Skip Bayless with quotes like this...

Richard Sherman to Skip Bayless wrote:
I'm intelligent enough and capable enough to understand that you are an ignorant, pompous, egotistical cretin. I am going to crush you on here because I am tired of hearing about it.

Richard Sherman to Skip Bayless wrote:

I'm inclined to agree with him

Edit: And there is one way to shut him up.. BEAT HIM!

And that's fine, you defend him because he's on your team. Knock yourself out. I get to not like him because he's piece of **** who runs his mouth to much. He's a dick. Nuff said.

Sherman's outburst right after time expired was over the top, even for him. He shouldn't have done that.

That said, I don't totally get the super hate, but w/e.

Refs gave Seattle the game and that corner at the end is a real piece of ****. The simple fact that the strip/recovery on that injury play didn't end up with a 49er ball is one of the most ridiculous calls I've ever seen in the game.

I missed this earlier...

Seattle had more penalties than SF did, and none of the calls against either team were especially egregious, except perhaps the Bowman fumble recovery, which had zero impact on the outcome of the game (other than his injury). San Franciso ended up with the ball on the next play anyway. Nothing the refs missed would have changed anything...

But thanks for living up the the "Whiners" moniker...

Hmm it seems I misposted this in the Figgy Pudding thread in the food forum (no idea how... i rarely venture in there).

Someone edited Richard Sherman's Wiki page after the game...

Sherm for the win. I don't have any issues with what he said. He's 100% right.

Like I said previously, he's over the top at times, but I get so sick and tired of all of the cliche answers we hear in the sports media.

Hearing someone speak their mind is kinda refreshing...

You stick a microphone in a guys face 15 seconds after he makes a game saving play in the Superbowl, and this is what you get, right?

Maybe Media Day at the Superbowl will actually be interesting this year?

We'll leave the humble good sport stuff to Wilson. I want my D to have a nasty streak.

I could post a bunch of hilarious harbaugh gifs, but if I did, I would have to start a new thread so everyone could ignore it :P

I am convinced that Colin Kaepernick is moderately retarded. Seriously, like IQ in the 75-80 range retarded.

As a Cleveland fan I love Phil Dawson and I still couldn't overcome my disdain of Kaepernick to route for San Fran.

It didn't affect the game, though. The seahawks handed it over next play.

EDIT: Seems that point's been made.

Interesting that this didn't get any media attention (at least not yet).

Aren't the Seahawks the most penalized team in the NFL?

Yup, and it's not even close. They also have the best record, the most takeaways, fewest points allowed, and many many other 'best of' stats...

Oh, and BTW, they are the NFC Champions(but you knew that already :p ).

This year, which is the only one that matters.

I was addressing your question about penalties...
