I'm not questioning anyone's morals here (unlike some people in this thread?).

I could care less what people look at on the Internet. I'd challenge anyone to find anything I've ever posted that suggests my morals/beliefs are better than anyone elses. In fact I'd challeng any of you to find any other thread where I've even discussed the subject (on any iteration of the glade).

All I'm saying is lets leave the porn for the porn sites. Folks that want to find pictures of naked women (or men) can easily do so with a simple google search.

All I'm asking is that we not post them here.

I understand your concerns, and I agree that they are valid. The manner in which you chose to present them was counterproductive. Rodahn didn't just slap a surprise picture of naked titties on the Glade for all to see. He warned everyone in advance, and hid them behind spoiler tags so that someone would have to go out of their way to see them.

Now, the concerns of the site still raising red flags for web-filtering software, when we are already riding the ragged edge, are certainly an issue. Do I agree with you that the pictures should be taken down? In the interest of people's continued browsing, I most certainly do. However, Rodahn made an attempt to be accomodating to people's sensitivities and employment circumstances from the very beginning of the thread. Treating him as such and explaining the deeper ramifications of how web filtering software tends to work (which, I understand you would be more an expert on than I, given your profressional occupation) would have caused a speedier resolution to the thread than simply jumping on him for posting porn.

Except you don't have to actually click the link. Not all content filtering engines work the same way. Some have features that, once they see a URL, they crawl the domain and categorize sites based on all of the content. They then periodically send the updated category lists back to the vendor, who makes the available to all of their customers.
