So what is your favorite or coolest gift thus far this year?

My wife got me that Kindle. Had not really checked it out before, but it looks really cool and will be good for my job. Gotta wait till Monday when I finally have a day off to play it.

My wife is a Ravens fan and I am a Steelers fan. Pretty interesting times there. Her cousin is one of the Ravens cheerleader coaches. For Xmas her cousin gave me the 2010 Ravens cheerleaders swimsuit calander. Signed personally to me from the cheerleaders and then each individually signed their photos in it. That tops my coolest of the year.

I have the iPhone kindle app, I looove it! Whenever I have free time at work or waiting I can read my book! Plus it's so nice in bed, you can read ( no light needed) when you get sleepy I just put it on my night stand..no turning off the light and waking myself up! Some limitations on books..not all are kindle, but I have found enough to keep me busy! You will love it Dominex!

Go Blue Raell!

Let's see..my fav was a bunch of lotions from bath and body and a pair of UGG boots! Now my perpetually cold feet will smell good and be warm :neko:

I got a new pair of running shoes, which were desperately needed. I got my last pair when I came home from Iraq and that's over 18 months ago now; they were getting rather ratty. Since I need to be able to sprint 300 meters in under 52 second (really more like 45 seconds for a decent score) and run a mile and a half in under 11:45 for the job I'm trying to get, they were sorely needed. Running is bad enough as it is.

Edit:

Also got a gift certificate to the Great Lakes Brewing Company restraunt, IHOP, and a cook book for charcoal grilling... all of which I love but all rather counterproductive to what I mentioned above!

Wasn't really much I needed. Got some thermal socks and some gift certificates for the liquor store. My sister bottle me a bottle of Grey Goose which was a nice surprise. I did check a cheque from parents for $300 which I decided to use part of to buy myself a new CPU for the desktop. Went with a AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition which I'm quite excited about. The rig should last me quite some time now!

I got an Audubon calandar, an Audubon bird guide, and 10 lottery scratchers, but the best gift, the one that made me cry happy tears was what was tucked inside the scratchers...my 2010 California State Fishing License!! :D

(oh, and I won $23 from the scratchers!! :P )

Got the Drizabone Bush hat that was recommended by some folks here (thanks!); a monocular; a flashlight-screwdriver combo tool; plus clothes and socks, the usual. Nothing terribly exciting, but it was a nice day with the family.

Oh, and ... a Spongebob Chia. My wife knows me so well.

(Are you a birdwatcher, Jasmy? Doing the CBC today?!)

I got a surround sound that doesn't work in the rear speakers, and I got a notebook cooling pad (a nice one, supposedly) which also doesn't work, right out of the box. Those were supposed to be my two best presents. So besides that, I guess my best presents would be clothes or my new suitcase. *sigh*

I did not recieve any gifts this year beyond the money my father direct-deposited into my account (which will help pay the rent). My mother says she's got a tub of Marshmallow Fluff to send me when she gets around to it.

Aethien:

I'm a fledgling birdwatcher. I've always enjoyed watching and listening to the birds in my back yard and I love trying to identify the different birds I see while out fishing. During the warmer months, I will sit on the patio with my morning coffee, just listening to the birds sing and watching their antics! I even leave pomegranates on my tree during the winter for the scrub jays and mockingbirds to feed on. So, yeah, I guess I am a birdwatcher! :P

(I have no idea what the CBC is  )
