Yes, that's all true. I've been (shortly after it opened, actually), and it was insane. All of the worst Russian habits about standing in line combined with something that was insanely popular for its little glimpse of the West to make it a very crowded experience. But at the time, it was the only one in town and the only way to get a little taste of home without spending really big bucks at a fancy restaurant. They also still deep-fried their apple turnovers, which made them really good, but I don't know if that's still the case.
