A lot of the anti vaccination bullshit stems directly from the "You know what? **** everyone else" attitude that is prevalent in a lot of circles. Flu shots are the best example. People who have never had the flu, or who only get mildly sick when they do get it, will eschew the vaccine. The fact that they're probably still contagious and spreading the disease isn't relevant to them. That's somebody else's problem.

Yeah just like those people who don't care about others and try to get the government to force others to pay for the things they want.
