Serienya, one of my good friends here is West's Bratchet Herald, and she keeps trying to get me to start coming to commenting meetings again. I probably will this year.

Ladykate - We'll talk more through the year. Right now that is sounding world's better than spending more time with the good friends (and they really are) that I go spend most New Year's with.

Most commentary is done online in OSCAR these days (Online System for Commentary and Response). Most don't bother with meetings. But if it gets you out of the house, I'm all for it!

OSCAR, which I'm unfamiliar with, would be great for Journeymen and better commenters. Brachet has always been a training post. You train people to be better commenters by having people who can explain the rules walk through the submissions with those eager to learn. I'm so dang rusty right now, The meetings will be good catch up experience.

It was freezing! And the wind was insane.

As to the fire-making...uh, yeah, about that...

We kinda did manage to start a fire in a neighbor's yard...but we stomped it out! And it so totally wasn't my fault. Damn firework was supposed to shoot up in the air, explode, and die out, not turn its launching tube over right before takeoff, fire across the street and explode right in some dry brush...
