I picked this game up during the last Steam sale, finally got around to playing it, and I am amazed that it doesn't have more of a fan base here. Amazed, I tell you!

It's got everything a good PC adventure needs:

• D&D systems for skills, stats and ability rolls
• Point-and-click movement
• Control of two characters (single or multiplayer) with the ability to expand your party with NPC's
• TONS of dialogue, branching paths, bickering (mini-game) between characters
• Abilities that affect the world around you in ways you'd expect (like a rain spell putting out a burning ship)
• Turn-based combat system that's very deep and rewarding
• 60+ hour campaign if you want to do everything

I am having a ton of fun and you could be too!

Yes. I'm trying out a "demo" and have been paralyzed by indecision in the character creation portion for several days. (not that I've given it much thought.)

I have questioned a couple of times whether or not to start over and re-roll my characters, but then I'm like, dang... That took a while. Oh well, keep playing with shitty builds.

This game will make you an art thief.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through the game and really enjoying it. Its strong point is a turn-based, tactical combat with a focus on the interaction of the elements of air, fire, water, and earth. And yes, if you have even a little bit of min/max OCD in wanting to optimize your character builds, you'll feel compelled to start over as I did about 4 times until I finally settled on 2 starting characters that complemented the 2 NPCs you encounter in the first city...but it doesn't matter too much what your initial build is because the game seems fairly well balanced, and after the first few levels it's not too late to develop your characters however you wish.

It's on my Steam wish list, waiting for the next time it goes on sale or the next time we have a month without car repairs.

edit : This appears to be a great review to watch if you're on the fence, or even if you've committed to buying the game but might need a heads-up about a few of the more potentially frustrating aspects.

Do not invest in any weapon skills until midway through the game when a new one becomes available. Mastery of bows, crossbows, one-handed, and two-handed are rendered completely worthless. They are wasted ablity points.

Well that's infuriating. Wtf kind of ability do you get half way through the game that negates all bow skills?

Tenebrium weapons, regardless of their type, use the Tenebrium ability and not the ability associated with the base weapon.

At some point in the game you unlock the ability to respec your characters in your stronghold.

Certain skills (namely Burning Blaze and Barrage) are currently unique and may be found once throughout the game. If you respec, you lose them permanently.

Man, I hated that about Eridium weapons in Borderlands. So glad they did away with that particular feature when they made Borderlands 2.
