I'm not going to spend a lot of time talking about this game or why I'm disappointed that us nerds don't have a thread for a badass LORD OF THE RINGS game.

For reals though, you should all play it.

It's on my list, when its cheaper than $50. I'm on a budget XD

It's on my watch list, but between Alien: Isolation and buying the super-duper mega-'spensive edition of Dragon Age: Inquisition for Phe's birthday present, I'm going to wait until it drops a bit in price.

I don't have anything that will play it.

Usually, if I see a game based on LotR, I assume it will be anywhere from disappointing to flat out ****. I admit it's not entirely rational since I haven't tried all the LotR licensed games.

This one, however, sounds like it might be worth checking out.

I will admit that I never looked into this game before reviews started hitting because I had the same stance on LOTR games.

But you should play it.

Pretty much agree with Penas. I don't think I've seen any other LotR game that looked interesting to me. This one tells a new story and the combat has given me some of the most rewarding fights ever.

Definitely worth the price of admission. In case it matters, this is NOT a game to play in front of children, or at least young ones anyway. It is gruesome.

I'm tired of all the LotR stuff, but this game sounds really good. From what I've heard it's more Sillmarillion than LotR.

The Battle for Middle-earth series of RTS games got quite good ratings. I played BfME2 for a lot of enjoyable hours, didn't try the others.

I put in about 26 hours before I beat the game. After running around getting all of the collectibles and not getting anything for it I was kinda bummed.

What the hell is even going on in this game?

Just ordered this from an early Black Friday sale at Best Buy for $25. Of course, I've got to A) wrestle the PS4 away from Phe playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, and B) stop playing Dragon Age: Inquisition myself.

Wish I had know that, we picked it up for 30. I am liking it, not loving though.
