I both agree and disagree with this.

While (IMO) there's no question that what's on the inside is where a person's true beauty lies -- physical attractiveness is also important. You generally are not going to remain (or even start) a relationship with someone you are not at least somewhat attracted to on the physical level.

Rodahn makes a good point. It's hard to be with someone you don't find attractive at all and most of the time, that is what attracts you to a person. But physical attractiveness is a subjective thing. Ugly to one is beautiful to another.

And the reason geek guys are more attracted to geek girls is because of the common interests. For example, I wouldn't date a girl that had a problem with me playing games. Geeky girls are likely to be more understanding of this and won't nag when I'm playing video games and might even want to play with me(which is totally hot, by the way).

As to the original topic...about what defines a geek...I'd say I agree with Farsky the most here.

After thinking about again for a few minutes, I think the most attractive thing about geek girls is their confidence. They don't feel the need to hide their "geekiness" or oddball hobbies. They are comfortable with who they are and unapologetic.

I agree you have to be attracted to the person, But "physical attractiveness" is not what is important in the long run. Being on the same page..if you can stay on the same page at least..well least I wish it was this way..then the more attractive walks by and the page is forgotton.
Don't mind me..I don't even know what I mean

Oh I agree -- compatibility is a large part of what will keep two people together, but the physical side is also just as present.

People romanticize all the time that what is on the inside is the only thing that matters, but in truth, it's a 50/50 thing -- lasting love is one part inner compatibility, one part hormonal.

what i feel is more important than looks is how a person is in bed. And I realize this is my own personal observation; but the porcelain doll wannabe's seem to lack in bed half the time; because they know their next piece of *** is just a flirt away.. because of their looks. Usually the geeky chicks are better in bed.

I do not know exactly why, they just usually are.

I quite enjoy a girl that knows what she wants in the bedroom. Adventurous and fun :) etc.

Kirra - do you find geek girls attractive? That would be the real reason to pursue such a relationship. If you do, enjoy yourself, if you don't, don't bother.

This needs to go into the quot thread.

The think the best way to think about geek girls is that they are fun. They are self-confident, intelligent and willing to try new things. They can do the make-up things to get all "pretty", but don't "have" to. The do things they like and appreciate others.

(I asked my wife, her response): "of course I'm a geek girl!"
