I think I will give Reed a break for a while. Can I start my revenge with Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly? I realize they have nothing to do with Twentieth Century Fox or their other movie marks, but no one will object to me starting my Fox eradication campaign with Hannity and O'Reilly, right?

Casting is narrowing down on Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

I've seen 3 of the 4 female candidates in stuff, and liked them fine, so that's encouraging. Not having seen their auditions (or know the tone they're going for), my pick is probably Daddario, but I wouldn't put it past Ritter to surprise me quite pleasantly.

I have been out of the loop for a long time, is Jessica Jones Spider Woman?

You may not be as out of the loop as you think, she's a recently created (early 2000's) character who is mostly known as a character that got worked into the ensemble cast of more popular ones. (And, no, Spider-Woman is Jessica Drew)

Jessica Jones was created by, I think it was Bendis, for a Marvel MAX series, Alias. In Alias, Jessica Jones is introduced as an ex-superhero, who quit the hero life after suffering some horrible incident that is still the source of lingering mental trauma. She decides to become a private investigator, instead, and Alias follows her in that pursuit, working towards some revelations about her life as a hero later in the series. It ran for, I think, around 30 issues before being cancelled, with most of the cast being rolled into Bendis' new, non-MAX series, The Pulse, which ended up getting more reader exposure by being a second-tier player in several of Marvel's crossovers.

In The Pulse, Jessica gets a job at the Daily Bugle, writing for a weekly column (called The Pulse) that mostly covers superheroic activities within New York.

Bendis, in the process of writing both these series, rolls Jessica Jones retroactively into the Spider-Man, Daredevil, Avengers, and Heroes for Hire casts, establishing that she went to Midtown High with Peter Parker (and had a crush on him before his spider-bite), works with (and often offers insider perspectives on the hero community to Ben Urich), had run-ins with a few Daredevil rogues in her superheroine career, befriended Carol Danvers (again, as a superheroine), and dated Scott Lang and Luke Cage. Around the time the New Avengers started, she was dating Luke Cage, and they got pregnant, and later married. She's been a background character in New Avengers ever since.

Also, Krysten Ritter is Jessica Jones, and Ryan Reynolds has been confirmed as Deadpool for the upcoming live-action movie.

It will be fine as long as we don't have to see his face. You should never see Deadpool out of his mask.

Yep. They just keep releasing more and more information that shows that sony have NO idea what they're doing with these licenses.

Mmm...I'll allow it. It's a cute gag, and it's not like people are beating down the door for an Ant-Man movie, so this is humorous little buzz-generator.

Yeah, I feel like that was really well played by Marvel. Ant-Man is one of those characters that really has no general social knowledge out there (still upset edgar wright left after all the years of planning, and I'm expecting the film to suffer because of it), but Hank Pym is such an important fixture in the marvel comic arcs they have got to get him in there (especially since they have no Dr Fantastic). I'm still glad he's getting his own movie and not a 2 minute throwaway introduction in a film with a giant cast.

Here's the human-sized teaser of the ant-sized teaser of the teaser trailer that debuts during Agent Carter. This meta-teasing has gotten well beyond the point of ridiculousness. Why do we have trailers for trailers for trailers now?

Because the online media outlets go nuts over trailers moreso than the actual movie. Web journalists will do ten to fifteen minute YouTube videos analyzing a two minute trailer.
