I once had a neighbor (when I lived in an apartment) call the cops on me at 10:30 on a Saturday night because I supposedly had the TV up too loud (it was not that loud at all).

Hope the open communication thing works out for you. Sounds like they won't be happy unless
playing the victim though.

I would have told them to call the police and shut the door the first time, still an option
if they bother you again.
