I for one am glad to be done with 2009. The last several months in particular were very taxing and stressful; but everything culminated in Dec. with my wife getting (finally) laid off on the 18th and my Dad passing away on the 23rd.

As bizarre as it sounds, both were a relief to finally have both happen as they were looming for months.

Here's hoping 2010 is a better year for everyone.

2009 was a year of great loss for everyone I believe. I do hope that 2010 will be the upswing.

2009 was both heaven and hell for me. It ended in hell. 2010 is not shaping up much better so far.

Ugh, 2009 was expensive. Hopefully this year will have little to no "home improvement" projects. Especially remodels, but I could do without replacing faucets and garbage disposals as well...

I agree, DIAF 2009..include in that a certain someone. Flowers now are not gonna fix things.

I've had worse years. I got to meet some wonderful folk this year, see the Atlantic Ocean and a bunch of nice places back east. My relationship with my daughter is slowly getting better.

But yeah, lost some people important to me, the furlough thing isn't wonderful and we'll probably lose more of our paychecks before it gets better.

Here's paid to the decade from hell. Now I need to find another wonderful woman and enjoy the second decade of the millennium.

The last quarter of 2009 had a not so nice surprise for me, but so far 2010 is looking better. I'm working on a couple of bad habits that need to go away...weight is slowly dropping off...my doctor cut my glipizide dose in half back in November, hoping he takes it completely away when I see him on the 19th...and my friend is talking about a trip to Vegas the end of March or early April, which I need very much right now!
