So ... Mozartrek?

Took our kids to their first opera today (actually it was my birthday present) - Mozart's "Abduction from the Seraglio", done in Star Trek (TOS) style. I enjoyed it immensely. Kind of hammy, but still very well done, played on all of the themes you'd expect to see in a Star Trek semi-parody. It was also apparently done somewhere in Southern Illinois last year, so maybe it will turn up somewhere else. If it does, and you're either a Start Trek or opera fan (or both!), go see it.

And now with video! This is the finale. And, yes, that's the Gorn you see in there. The Gorn had a fight with "Kirk" that may have been the best part of the whole thing, for me.
