The Glade 4.0

1.0 is out. That means three things:
* a big patch
* all Aurora, Mustang, 300 series, and Hornet variants, plus the Cutlass Black, Avenger, and M50 are now flyable with their proper stock loadouts implemented
* arranged team battles are possible with the new lobby system.

Oh yeah.

Okay, Talan and I were trying to play a private spectrum match this morning, and kept getting a "Lobby Error Code 2" error. It seems to be very common, and perhaps universal. So.. just to save folks a little time and headache, now might not be the time to try to schedule multiplayer AC over the holidays after all.

The news has been mitigated for me by the discovery that a couple weeks ago, some enterprising Rift tinkerers have gotten DK2 mostly working in AC 0.9.2, and the setup apparently carries over smoothly to 1.0. So I've got something else to occupy my time in the meantime.

Reading back over my earlier post, I should clarify -- public matches are still possible, though not smooth sailing, and filled with missile spam because they're quite, um, effective.

Downloaded all day, tried to take the SH for a spin only to lock on the loading screen. Will try again tonight.

Loading the Hangar, or loading the AC map.

If you locked loading the Hangar, go into the Launcher's options/settings screen, and make sure you have a language selected.

I can be around. My performance hasn't been the greatest since 1.0 so i haven't played much, but I'm game.

Oh, I should probably ask: should I hook up the Rift, or not? It takes a bit of setup to switch back and forth in the current state of semi-support -- changing config files around and whatnot -- so I ought to have it set up (or not) ahead of time.

Essentially, I guess what I'm asking is: are we going to be trying to push ourselves, or should I plan to be carried a bit while I continue to try to acclimate to the Rift and its interface limitations?

do what you want man. I don't think its time for hard drills yet (at least I hope not). We're just having fun at this point.

I have been doing the odd public co-op swarm to get us onto the leaderboards but placed at close to 1100 and the Void Rangers at 250 in the org structure I am not too worried about positioning. Fire it up and enjoy.
