Thor, Hawkeye, and Black Widow are all being blown forward by that explosion, I think.

Why Thor's cape continues to billow behind him if that's the case, though, is a mystery. Or Asgardian science-driven fashion. Because far from Thor to use his godlike powers alien technology to fuel his vanity, right?

I can at least forgive the characters that begin off-screen or in the jeep and are thrust into the scene. Thor is there the whole damn time and his acceleration out of nowhere, apparently from a super fart, makes no damn sense.

Well, I'm not a huge daredevil fan, have read some of the comics, but that looks pretty great to me.

That trailer has me most looking forward to D'Onofrio killing it as Kingpin. I mean, Michael Clarke Duncan was probably the 2nd or 3rd most inspired casting choice Fox has made with a Marvel license, but he's sadly unavailable to reprise his role, so...

Yep, Clarke Duncan was amazing, but with him sadly gone, D'Onfrio looks like he's going to do a great job.

I love the part where Cap uses momentum to throw a motorbike... through a jeep.

I love this.

It's not that I didn't like Whedon's Avengers - It was wonderful. And when AoU comes out, Whedon will likely pass 3 billion in Box Office - which should let him write his own ticket for future projects, if Avengers 1 didn't already do that. But it's just over 2 hours of Whedon I've gotten in the last few years. It'll be 2 more in a month and a half. I need MORE Joss Whedon in the screen.

Whedon is not leaving the MCU - he wants to spend more time writing and even directing Agents of SHIELD (which he has more creative control over - they are mostly his own characters). Right now he pretty much just produces the show - he rarely is directly involved in it. That will change. He also wants to work on side projects (Dr. Horrible 2!). He will still be available for script doctoring/consulting on other Marvel films (and perhaps more of them.

The Russo's did a spectacular job on Cap2. As long as they work with James Gunn (After all, the GotG will be in Avengers 3) and Whedon in some kind of consulting fashion, we should have some great fun. Sure, Disney would have preferred to have Whedon back, but I was surprised he agreed to do Avengers 2, there was very little chance he'd sign on for two more. He said it was stressful, a double-full-time job, and no matter how much you might like "someone else's characters," they're not yours, and for the creative type who likes building their own dynamics, it gets old. So move on, Joss! I want more Whedon!

Maybe I'm a heretic, but I like Whedon as much, if not better when he is constrained by someone else's vision, than when he has free reign. I loved Firefly, but didn't much care for Buffy. For some reason when I tried (on several occasions) to stream Dr. Horrible on Netflix, it came without audio. I should try again, maybe it would change my view.

Definitely. Dr. Horrible is unrestrained Whedon, and it's FANTASTIC.

The deadpool image references a burt reynolds photo, as the title is "Burt Reynolds Eat your heart out."

It is this photo. Be warned, you can't unsee what you will see.

Suprisingly, they appear to be doing everything right with the Deadpool movie. Love the throwback to the horrible version in Wolverine. The costume may be the most comic-accurate one to ever hit a Hollywood film, and it's awesome. Thank goodness for the R rating, and chimichangas.

Oh my god.

Maybe this could happen if somebody firebombed the next Fox studios board meeting. Not that anybody should do this, of course.
