I have seen the first episode. I approve so far.

I watched the first 8 episodes today. Pretty good show. Really dark.

Phe and I watched the first couple of Daredevil eps last night. So good. I didn't mind the 2003 film, and I've never been a Daredevil fan, but I am now. Kudos, Whedonverse veterans Steven S. DeKnight and Drew Goddard.

I really like Daredevil so far.. i'm 4 episodes in.

My one complaint is the fight scenes seem to drag on too long, and the sound effects... it sounds like they are throwing bean bags at each other or something...

Hopefully that gets better...

I blew through the entire season the first day. It was really good and worth the missing sleep. I like his red suit. Much better than how it looked in the motion poster.

FX can get better. I thought the fights themselves were perfect. They felt real.

The fight in the bowling ally? Holy ****.

As for the suit. I didn't care for the eyebrows and the open eye holes. He doesn't need them. The rest looked great.

So far, for me, 9 episodes in, Daredevil is awesome. Very dark for Disney, possibly too much so because that means we won't see these Netflix MCU characters in any other MCU properties, but it works well.

Daredevil does a very good job of being Catholic, yet not bludgeoning the viewer with religiosity. In episode 9, Matt Murdock has an excellent moral conversation with his priest. His priest says to him, "You have to determine the reason for your conflict. Are you conflicted because you don't want to kill, but are worried that there might be no other option? Or are you conflicted because you want to kill this man, but think you may have other options?"

At first i thought, "That's brilliant."

Then i thought, "Wait, you're Catholic. The difference between the two is 10 Hail Marys and an Our Father."

Priest - "Do you want confession?"
Desperado - "Not right now Father, where I'm going I'd just have to come right back..."

I have a few questions about Daredevil though. Who was Gao? Also, who was the Black Sky kid?

If I had to guess, the Black Sky kid is part of a larger story that is yet to be told. Could be 'gifted' or he was used to transport a bio-weapon of some kind.

I went and looked them up today and it looks like they're both unknown. I thought maybe they were just Daredevil characters I didn't know about.

Summary for those who can't watch interviews right now: The Spider-man joining the MCU in Cap/Avengers will be Peter Parker, not Miles Morales. Furthermore, it will be a teenage, high-school version of Peter Parker, and they are not doing any origin story, instead assuming that the viewer already knows about the radioactive spiderbite after 2 origin story movies in the last 13 years.

I normally read your posts. However, I think the Tobey Maguire photo caused me to gloss over it and not pay attention.
