The last few months of my life have been pretty hectic, to say the least. I quit my job after a huge falling out with my boss and Administration. I knew that things were heading in the wrong direction, but I was hoping to bury my head in the sand, and let it all go away. When it didn't, and when I started getting personal attacks, challenging my character & my integrity, I stood up for myself. Which was not something they were expecting from me, since it's not really my normal personality. So I was hunting for a new job, and I had a few interviews. All of them seemed promising, but I only got a call back on one. I got offered the job, but due to the nature of the job/company, I had to wait for almost two months before I could start - they had to run background checks, and they have a fairly lengthy hiring process. I was finally able to start in May, and so far, I am loving the new job.

In the meantime, we had been trying to sell our house for months. And with me out of work, we were afraid we might be in serious trouble financially. But luckily, I was finally able to start my new job before things got too dire. Well, we finally sold our house, and closed on August 7th. We had been looking at several existing homes, to buy. But nothing that we really loved. Until we found several new homes, going up in a new subdivision nearby. We managed to find one with the layout that we wanted, and we put it under contract. And we were able to get it signed early enough, that we were able to pick our floors, paint colors, exterior colors, granite countertops, and everything. The problem was, it wasn't going to be finished for at least a month, and we needed a place to stay. So we moved in with my in-laws. That by itself, might not have been so bad, if my brother-in-law hadn't sold his house two weeks later, and ALSO moved in with my in-laws. So there were 9 of us, all under one roof. And it's been pretty insane.

But I am happy to report, as of 6 PM, last Friday, we are the proud owners of a new home. The builder still has a few finishing touches to make on the house, so we haven't started moving all the big stuff in yet - we don't want them tripping over our furniture, etc. But we are very, very excited!

Here are some pics of the new place (Spoilered for size):

We are hoping to finish moving in this weekend. I'll have to post some more pictures, once we get moved in.

And once I have internet service again....*Grumbles something about cable and phone companies*

Thanks, guys! Can't wait to get moved in.

They are delivering/installing the shower door today, I believe. So I'm hoping I'll get to try it out, tonight.
