CR is back with a vengeance and he's not pulling any punches. He spends 20 minutes talking about how freaking awesome (!!!) SQ42 is going to be and then takes on the ten most important questions in development.

I don't know what his politics are but I still contend he should run for President. He's the only person I know who can talk about his vision for over an hour and make you feel supercharged about it.

I've been in Detroit since Thursday, just got home a few hours ago. Downloading the new patch now, actually.

I'd been super-busy and without computer access to the internet, so I didn't even realize they'd released it 'till Rori mentioned it.

Ok, looks like I will actually have a rig that will be able to play this, which will arrive in a couple days. This begins to make me more excited for this game now. Never fun to be excited for something you can't have.

Mmm. AtV interviews Pete Mackay and John Pritchett about 2.0 flight model changes. There's some slick stuff in the pipeline, and I'm looking forward to the (supposedly imminent) Flight Model Design Post even more, now.

My schedule's in a bit of flux, here. And I've been getting server full errors pretty frequently.

And that error message is bugged, and so you can't close it without restarting the client, which means lots of load times.

I got in but it keeps crashing after a while. I also need to educate myself on how to operate things. My use function seems to be disabled half the time.

I also got stuck at on of the retaliator's engineering tables with no apparent exit button.

I wonder about ship security. I loaded a ship onto the platform and went out there. There were a bunch of people wandering around on the platform. Can they hit <<Use>> on my ship and take off?

ctrl + F has replaced F for the exit station/seat button.

Also, what ship security?

That's his point -- can other people just get into your ship? I don't know one way or the other... but there was a dude who seemed really interested in my Scythe -- he was poking around the cockpit area as I ran towards it. I'm not sure whether he was trying to get in; and if so, whether he just didn't know where to stand to get the prompt, or whether he was unable because the game doesn't allow it.

I've gotten in a couple times. A few runs had to be aborted early as I was trying to rebind my Use key (currently bugged and unable to rebind, corroborating reports submitted), and then I was able to fast travel blindly (labels don't appear to be showing up properly for lots of people in the UI) with the Scythe after a bit of trial and error before lagging out and crashing in an asteroid field POI. I followed up taking my freshly upgraded Avenger Warlock for a spin, which crashed a bit after I pulled up my journal after reading up on workarounds for the quantum travel label bug.

Haven't been able to get in again since. Full servers and "Unlocalized Error Message" errors, yay.

"By what ship security" I mean there isn't any yet as I understand it. I've seen streamers walk right into other people's connies and take a turret.

So I'd imagine he couldn't find the entry point or was just admiring it.

I'm Pretty sure someone took off in my retaliator. I was just using the lift and got some collision warning error before I died. I wonder if I still have a Retaliator when I next log in...

There's no persistence yet either so yes
