Hey, remember that piece of **** NBC series that everyone kinda liked for part of the first season, then hated the first season finale and everything after that somehow managed to get even worse even as it ran an inexplicable four years? Well guess what! It's coming back!

I remember a show that people fanwanked to for several years. I don't remember anything specific about it only being good for a few episodes. Judging by the way there was always a thread near the top of entertainment, I would've thought the show was fantastic.

They wrote themselves into a corner with a God character who was too stupid to realize it. The show had promising beginnings but never lived up to what it could have been. Hopefully they realize that and change this one, but I wont get my hopes up.

Exactly. The correct ending of Season 1 was to kill off your two infinitely powerful characters; having them negate each other. Bring the balance back to the Force.

I feel like a chump because I stayed with that show until the bitter end. In the words of The Who, I won't be fooled again.

I'll end up watching it. It's a limited run that continues the old series - not intended to be a continuing series.

It was like a Stephen King novel. Awesome idea, poor execution.

I'll watch it again just because - maybe - they can do it right this time. Mounds of potential.

IF they want to do it right, it will be Chuck that I am seeing in that preview, not just the actor that played Chuck.

Well, now we know for sure it'll be a failure.

I still want to know how HRG got out of that trailer that was 20 feet underground.

Honestly I don't remember anything after season 1 and don't want to.

Final episode of the series, him and the cheerleader were sucked underground while in a circus trailer.

If they're smart, they retconned literally everything after the first season. Maybe even some of the first season.

apparently based on new ads this is the alternate timeline, the one where the cheerleader wasn't saved (Yay?) and (presumably) New York explodes So the circus didn't happen (yay) Hiro didn't get sick (at least not yet, yay) and may actually get the chance to be the badass we saw in season 1 (double yay).

I'm hoping they can learn from the mistakes of the past. If they can't well we can dump it

Keep in mind: Season 1 was written by the normal writers: Season 2 and after were sucked into the writers strike

Well that was not inspiring.

Noah and "send stuff away kid" were alright. But...

- Comic relief beardo following Noah around needs to get eaten by a zombie or something.

- The luchador & friends scenes seemed tedious.

- And Katana Girl... I have a pretty good relationship with my suspension of disbelief, but this broke the absurd meter. I hope they drop an anvil on her and gamer dude.

- Not sure yet about Chuck & not Sarah.

I was hoping they would have taken the opportunity to learn from the mistakes of the original run and make something better, but so far this looks like it's on par with the last go-round.

Yep, season 1 showed a lot of potential, although they did kind of write themselves into a corner toward the end of the season. The disaster seasons that followed was a direct result of the writer's strike.

Im reserving judgement on this new series, the first episode was nothing to write home about, but didn't suck either. I'm a fan of shows that tell a story of the course of one, maybe two seasons, and then go away after their story is told. If in fact that is the plan with this series, it might have potential.

The game the katana girl was in looked soooo bad. As a matter of fact, pretty much all of the special effects were crap except teleportation kid.

They're doing the same thing, though "something's coming!"

Well, eventually it will have to get here, and then you'll have to rewrite the series again.

Judging by the number of posts and threads about it you'd have thought Firefly ran for 7 or 8 seasons, too.

Just started episode 1.

Are they literally Speedballing/Evo Registration/Civil Warring the hell out of this, or is that just the initial impression?
