The Glade 4.0

I have no idea what this show will be but I have faith. Dare Devil could have gone so wrong but it turned out to be the best thing Marvel has ever done next to Captain America.

It wasn't completely useless as a trailer, but it does only seem useful to an audience that is already at least tangentially familiar with her comic appearances.

The camera lens imagery confirms/reinforces that the show will follow her during her time working as a private investigator, rather than her stint as a journalist or her brief costumed superhero career.

The trailer's stylistic composition suggests a marked shift in tone and genre from Daredevil. So we might not be looking at a gritty procedural this time around, despite another main character who works taking cases. The very abstract nature of the teaser makes me think they're really going to double down on the psychological trauma Jessica carries from her encounters with the Purple Man (who Tennant is playing), which could, if handled well, gain it a lot of praise and advocates outside Marvel's core superhero comics reading audience.

I'm very intrigued and encouraged by the trailer, though I certainly agree, it's not one the mass market will get much from.

Hmm, it looks like they're doing a slow burn on her reveal.

Okay, so now they're starting to set the tone of the psychological thriller aspect of Purple Man's abuse and trauma. Cool.

We're two episodes in and enjoying it so far.

It gets intense around eps. 9 & 10. I don't think I've ever been as on edge watching a TV show outside of Breaking Bad's final few episodes.

I still think Daredevil is the best thing to come out of the MCU so far, but Jessica Jones is definitely up there. We've three episodes to go.

This is not what I was expecting.

Finished Jessica Jones today. I have one small beef with the show. They need to teach old girl how to throw a punch. There were times she could not sell the physical aspect of it all. Over all though, it was pretty damn good.
