I'm a telecoms guy, and I find it real hard to give two shits about fax services.

If you have a fax, you likely have a scanner, scan that **** **** and **** email it.

Also, go **** yourself for still using 1980's tech. I mean, noone's like "I can't download Mp3's to my walkman. I don't get why it doesn't work.

Seconded. **** fax machines.

Yeah, I agree. We have 1 fax machine dedicated to the entire floor. There's an instruction manual taped to it since nobody ever uses it more than once a year, and can never remember how to make it work.

We need it because every once in a while a client wants to fax us something.

Email is preferred; however, our IT peeps have now decided that email is a bad way to send files, and has prevented us from emailing anything over 5mb, or receiving anything over 5mb.

Setting up a new FTP account for everyone that wants to send me a couple of files is annoying.

Wait... if we didn't have FAX machines, how would I know what to have for lunch? :p~

When you have to deal with doctors and lawyers, fax machines are an occupational hazard. Both groups really love their fax machines for some reason and the majority won't accept documentation sent through any other method.

The thing that blows my mind is Email to fax... when you're faxing to another email to fax machine.

Its absolutely retarded technology that needs to die like Betamax.
