Unfortunately real, but I think I broke his nose.. I was able to get away and he left, the officer also said he would give him the 'suggestion' that it would not be a good idea to try and press charges against me.

I want to thank everyone who has responded to this thread with support for Kirra. It's made a huge difference not just for Kirra, but for me as well.

When I first learned what had happened, I went into crisis mode. All I knew was that a someone I had gotten to know as a wonderful, funny, caring, and beautiful human being was suddenly going through Hell, and there wasn't much I could do.

Crisis mode with multiple timezones between you and the crisis is a 500 gallon bucket of suck.

So, I turned to the glade, broke the safety glass, and pulled the alarm. And you came, even though I didn't tell the whole story, you came. I know it helped Kirra, but it also helped me to know that despite all our differences, when the call goes out, we're all here for each other.

Thank you, everyone.

Kirra, in a few short hours, you'll bet at the courthouse. May this unpleasant experience be as painless as possible, and over with as expiditiously as it can be. But, Kirra : take no prisoners!

Papers are signed and its official. I just saw him briefly and his nose is taped up, guess I did get a good one in. My eye and cheek are less swollen, but I made sure I looked pretty rough this morning, no make up.

I actually kicked him in the shin because he grabbed my arm and wouldn't let go...that's what made him mad, I guess, and he slapped me off the deck. I have taken some self defense a while ago, but I think I need more.

time to get my **** together, and move outta Whoville.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu It's really fun and the randori (free sparring) will prepare you for an actual conflict and give you a great workout. You'd be suprised how easy it is to put someone twice your weight in an very painful armlock and hyperextend an elbow or dislocate a shoulder with the right leverage.

Or Montegue would probably suggest Aikido, which is also effective.
