I don't see either Kyle Katarn OR any Bothans.

Unless we're discarding the EU notion that Bothans are furry aliens. Have they appeared (by name) on Clone Wars or Rebels? Maybe Bothans are just humans from Bothawui, now, the same way Corellians are humans.

In any event, it looks nice.

I'm still pissed that this isn't a spin-off about Wedge. Though I suppose that would more accurately be Rogue Leader. I suppose they could surprise me, and this could be the origin of Rogue Squadron. That would be acceptable.

Wedge Antilles is the Rebel version of Boba Fett.

Except for actually doing ****. He survived twice as many Death Star trench runs as Luke, and got shot down 100% less than Luke did on Hoth. He saved Luke's life at Yavin.

It's an easy argument that he's shown pretty clearly to be Luke's equal as a pilot, without the Force to lean on.

Boba Fett hides in trash and tattles to Vader to come in and strongarm a mining operation on his behalf. And gets taken out on accident by a blind dude. The only way you can die more chumply is if Jar-Jar kills you.

Oh, ****. You're right.

Okay, so Bothans get a pass. I still want Kyle to show up at some point.

I disagree.

Wedge isn't even remotely close to being as popular as Boba Fett is.

The truth hurts. :-)

That said, I do like Wedge. But you don't see merchandise, shirts, cosplay, wallpapers, etc. nearly on the same scale as you do for Boba.

That's just proof of injustice in this world, not the superiority of Boba Fett in a galaxy far, far away.

Boba Fett is not nearly as popular as his awesome looking armor.

Okay, am I the only one, every time when viewing this trailer, that has this strange mental short-circuit near the beginning:

"Forgery of Imperial documents, possession of stolen property, aggravated assault, resisting arrest..."

"...piracy, smuggling, falsification of Letters of Marque and Reprisal, impersonating an officer of the British Royal Navy, impersonating an officer of the Spanish Royal Navy, impersonating a cleric of the Church of England, sailing under false colours, arson, kidnapping, looting, poaching, brigandage, pilfering, depravity, depredation, and general lawlessness..."

It's proof that Boba Fett has cool armor while Wedge is usually seen in the flight suit that disturbingly resembles a prison outfit.

Really, they should have used the red or green ones for everyone.

I'm really excited about this movie, perhaps more so than Ep 8.

I am also super excited for the first official star wars theatrical spinoff. Looks great so far, and maybe will break the mold a little.

Oh, my. I haven't paid any attention to this at all. I do like what I see so far.

Can we all take a moment and appreciate how good it is that Lucas isn't lording over the Star Wars franchise anymore?

SO SAY WE ALL.

(not to mention the fact that Disney basically has infinity money to pour into making the absolute best realization of the film (and soon, theme park) imaginable!)
