My amazifying wife had a birthday surprise in store for me: a three-night trip to the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, where Stephen King stayed and was inspired to write The Shining (the miniseries even filmed here).

We traveled yesterday, are resting today, and fly back to Tennessee on Tuesday, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for how to spend part of today and tomorrow.

If you were south of Denver, I'd have quite a few suggestions, as it stands, I'd suggest exploring some of the Rocky Mountain National Park, rather than staring at a highway.

I went to Colorado for the first time last summer. I can confirm it is an amazing place.
