I was a bit put off by the title and promo imagery for this show, but after seeing multiple recommendations from people whose comedy chops I greatly admire (Cracked's Dan O'Brien, for one), I decided to give it a go. It's an hourlong musical comedy-drama from Rachel Bloom, whose music video "**** Me, Ray Bradbury" made the rounds a few years ago, and who also worked on Robot Chicken.
It's dark (it grapples heavily [and honestly] with depression, and was originally developed for Showtime), hilarious, and moving, all in one. Season one's on Netflix now, and season two starts next month.
