They do suck mightily as well. It'd almost be worth it to do Point Lookout at low levels to get the extra damage perk against ghouls before the Reavers start putting in an appearance. Yet another mob that gets the receiving end of a full clip from Vengeance.

In my last playthrough (went evil/neutral) I snuck into the cave for Vengeance around level 5 or so. It was a *****, and I think I used like 9 stealthboys.

Oh now that all the DLC are available I most certainly do that. While wearing the chinese stealth armor I might add. But when Point Lookout was unreleased, those Reavers sucked Slime Eel anus.

Really, all the high end mobs added with the level cap increase suck mightily. I'd have to say that getting Lincoln's Repeater and Vengeance early on made a huge difference, and doing the Pitt and getting the perforator just made things smooth. I think on my last playthrough I had Lincoln's Repeater, Vengeance, and Ranger Armor by the time I was level 10.
