Was thinking about American POWs the other day - not sure why, really - and I remembered one particularly moving story from the 90s of that US pilot who was shot down in Kosovo, captured by Serbian forces, and, before being paraded on TV, tore the words, "Courage, mom," into his sweater in Morse Code. Really tugged at the old heartstrings, so I Googled it to remind myself of the details. I couldn't finding anything at first, but after a while, I found a screen-cap of the guy's photo (spoilered for size):

"Wait," I thought, "Isn't that Woody Harrelson?!" Yes. Yes, it is. Apparently, my brain had merged a scene from Wag the Dog with the real story of a pilot who was shot down over Kosovo but promptly rescued. Bizarre f*cking sense of unreality when I realized that.
