Go to see Deadpool.
Stay for both end credits scenes.

Spoiler:
The end credits basically undo a huge chunk of the end-state of the film and are mostly considered to be 'what actually happened'

"Both"? There were, like, five.

Spoiler:
1. Fixing/recharging the time slide device (hello, setting the next movie up for Bodyslide by Two);
2. Saving Vanessa;
3. Saving Peter;
4. Shooting "The Wolverine" Deadpool;
5. Shooting Ryan Reynolds with the Green Lantern script.

There's also an amusing song at the very end about the movie's big bad classic villain.
Spoiler:

It was good. Much more uplifting than the Avengers.

Well.. I mean there were no credits between the individual scenes. Yes they were separate scenes. But only exist in 2 places in the credits

I didn't really care for
Spoiler:
the first half (admittedly, a not-insignificant amount of that has to do with the fridging of Vanessa, who was one of the best parts of the first film), and the tone just seemed wildly inconsistent. It clicked into place from the X-Force bits onward though, and I enjoyed the latter half a great deal. Domino was badass. I was happy to see Actual!Juggernaut in a film, not that idiotic punchline/meme from The Last Stand (though, why did the terrible prison guards let him keep his helmet? That seemed...unwise.). It's still surreal to me that these films are somehow better X-Men films than any of the X-Men films we've had so far (minus maybe First Class).

I also hate when my brain jumps down the rabbit hole of parsing time travel logic (I normally just operate on the MST3k "repeat to yourself 'It's just a show/I should really just relax'" principle), but I'm fuzzy on it in this case. I'd assume that time travel in the X-Men Cinematic Universe is a dynamic timeline, evidenced by Deadpool saving Russel and the daughter-ash (ew) disappearing from Cable's teddy bear. But if that were the case, when Deadpool traveled back in time and saved Vanessa (which, yay)...what does that mean for the movie? If it erases everything past that, he wouldn't have ever known about Russel, so he wouldn't have been there when Cable came back in time to off him. But if that were the case, why did he create X-Force and have them parachute at that time/place (thus necessitating the post-Vanessa saving of Peter/Sugarbear? GAAAHHHHH.

Luke Cage Season Two...

Spoiler:
I've been watching it, to watch it. I like Bushmaster. Not bad but not really all that exciting until episode ten. WTF, where was this Iron Fist in his own show? Where was he in The Defenders? Smart, sure, confident Danny Rand. I honestly threw my hands up at one point and cheered...patty cake!!
Still have a couple more to go but man, I loved Episode Ten.

Into the Spider Verse was fabulous. The animation was gorgeous -- I really dug the shading textures they used that evoked pen-shaded comic art -- the characterizations were fun, and the voice acting was top notch. I didn't know my life needed Nick Cage hamming it up as a noir protagonist, but it absolutely did.

Into the Spider Verse, is by far my favorite movie of the last year. It very well might be my favorite Marvel film period.

Into the Spider-verse was fantastic. We finished S2 of The Punisher yesterday. I think we're almost through S2 of The Gifted. Now just waiting for Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel was.. alright. It was satisfying in some ways, but disappointingly shallow in others. Hopefully, we'll see more depth developed in her character in Endgame? Like, I'm hoping that the shallowness to Carol was a convergence of the whole amnesia plot and a hesitation to make her a fully realized character in Captain Marvel, just to send her off for twenty years and come back as a more hardened, experienced character. Because that might be jarring to the audience or something?

Or maybe it's essentially the same thing, but lazier -- they knew the endpoint they wanted in Endgame, but didn't want her to be "there" yet and couldn't be bothered to develop an intermediate fleshed out character.

I just got back... the humor was contrived and the movie felt more like a DC movie than a Marvel movie. I put it in the middle of the pack of the phase 1 MCU.

At least they didn't put her in that one piece swim suit... I liked the movie but I was a little stumped at one story point.
Spoiler:
When did the Skrulls become the good guys?

You're a 40 year old white dude, so she doesn't care about what you think of the movie anyway...

:roll: Way to deliberately miss her point.

Anyway, we enjoyed it. It's not much different from the other origin stories in quality. Of course she's not built up as much as someone like Cap who has been in 5 or more movies so far.

And re: Skrulls... I guess since we already know that Ronan the Accuser is a tyrant in GotG, they can't make them the good guys. (Also, they're only bad guys because the Kree forced them to become militaristic.)

So at the end of Guardians 2, I thought the Kree were making a reference to Adam Warlock, to be used in Endgame. Obviously I was wrong on Endgame, but was I also wrong about that being Adam Warlock?

Everything I saw about G2 said that it was supposed to be Adam Warlock. Will it get used before Guardians 3? Who freaking knows.

That was the Sovereign, not the Kree.

I believe the Agents of SHIELD in the MCU established that the Kree are at war with humanity.
