https://screenrant.com/birds-prey-movie ... -huntress/

So, Birds of Prey with Harley and NO Babs/Oracle?!?

So far, the characters are Harley, Cassandra Cain (despite what the article says, I think it's more likely she is Orphan rather than Batgirl), Huntress, Black Canary, and Renee Montoya.

I get that there is a Batgirl movie coming, which is probably going to have Barbara Gordon, so they can't have her disabled as Oracle. But come on! She was a $&#@!! founding member. She mentored Cass as Batgirl. There is no Birds of Prey team without Babs.

And I want Zinda/Lady Blackhawk at some point because she's so much fun in the books. Not sure if Montoya will become the Question in this continuity or not.

Gail Simone (comic author, who wrote BoP for a time) is optimistic, but we'll see... I love the characters, just am unsure of the lineup.

I won't believe it until they really start filming. Even then, I might not believe they are going to do it. Don't get me wrong, I am the one dude here that liked Justice League but the DCU movies are on some shaky legs right now.

Didn't they officially 'throw up their hands' with regards to the idea of a 'DCU'. Like: efit, we're making movies and maybe they conectid; maybe they not.

Edit: which doesn't really address all of your concerns, I suppose. You would hope they'd be smart enough to not paint themselves into too tight a corner and piss off the fanbase by making a shambles of the characters.

That being said, the pictures of Chuck as Captain Marvel made me silly happy.

They had been talking of doing Gotham City Sirens with Harley, Ivy, and Catwoman. That totally works. I'd love to see it.

But shoehorning Harley into BoP just to give her another movie seems problematic.

Yea but Black Panther was the least interesting character in that movie...I don't see this going down that way.

Aquaman was magical. It should not have been this good.

I liked Green Lantern.

I guess I’m easy, but I grew in a family that had a 8” black and white, and I sucked up as much as I could, and it’s all good. I guess with the popularity of the genre you have enough so you can compare against the competition, but I’ve never watched a hero save the world without the very same feeing inside, same as what I felt when I watched Luke Skywalker talk about shooting wamp rats.

That said, there is one cock up I can hardly forgive - the cgi face. You know what I’m talking about.

But you know what? On an 8” b&w, that movie would rock.

Oh, Birds of Prey was **** horrible. Just to come back around to the point. Far worse than Suicide Squad.

Necro-answering, oddly enough we liked it. Who would have thought....

SS wasn't that bad, but I got exactly what I expected.
