DL'd both these demos through XBL. I was wondering if anyone owned the full game. Both have awesome looking stories (killing Death was badass) but obviously the athestics are different. Though both offer over the top visceral visual candy.

I may buy them, but don't feel like shelling out the cash for both.

I have Bayonetta, and from my limited experience, I prefer Darksiders. Bayonetta is a fun, gorgeous game with good combat, but the over-the-top sex fan service is a little awkward. The game shows you tits and spread legs at every opportunity, and it doesn't care who's in the room.

Haven't played DI, can't comment there. I'd recommend trying Darksiders before making a decision on any of the 3, though.

Very loosely.

Really, really enjoyed the demo for Dante's Inferno. I really like the atmosphere and the game play. Also, the story seems like it will be very interesting. With that said, I'm not nearly as excited about picking it up as I am Darksiders. And unfortunately, I have to wait until this weekend to pick it up. :(

Picked up Darksiders this evening and am playing it now. Very impressive so far, if not a tad on the linear side.

I did not care for Bayonetta, personally. Was too Devil May Cry-ish, which I have played before and have no desire to play again. Besides, the music in Bayonetta is some terrible J-Pop/Muzak arrangement -- blech! The sex appeal is really all it has going for it, IMO.

Dante's Inferno looks to be a competent God of War close (and by clone, I mean they may as well have copied and pasted the GoW mechanics onto a different-looking skin -- it's that similar). Graphically, it's the weakest of the three, but I love the GoW style of game, so for me it's win-win-win (GoW + Dante's + Darksiders).

If you have the money, grab all three or some combination of the three. If you have to go with just one, go with Darksiders, with Dante's being a close second (keeping in mind that it does not release until next month).

The J-Pop in all of these demos is annoying, but the spike-heeled boot that comes out of nowhere to stomp on your enemy is kind of neat. I don't know that the game could really hold that much lasting appeal to me, though.

Bayonetta is cool for the totally over the topness. I want to play Bayonetta and Darksiders, but I'm not sold on Dante's Inferno. I'll probably wait a few months to buy any of them, though and pick them up used.

The biggest strike Dante's has going against it is that it comes out one month before its superior big brother (GoW3).

I'm afraid it will be swallered up, which is a shame.

But... it's a game about a witch who wears her hair as clothes... I guess I was just expecting it. :)

Would you expect her to stop in the middle of a boss fight and finger herself on the floor? Because it happens.

LOL @ "Joy" (not as gratuitous as I had thought, but then again, there is only so much they could have done).

Man that game likes its cleavage shots.

And as far as that Darksiders comic goes -- I would say it's actually pretty fresh. The argument of deducting points for "borrowing elements from other games" is pretty obsolete at this point. That's just part of the modern gaming world.

Yeah I know -- my above reply was actually a reference to their reference of the reviews.

And I personally enjoyed Dante's Inferno, but between God of War, Darksiders, and (probably) Bayonetta, it will most likely end up being the weakest, with the harshest reviews.

EDIT: For those that own PS3s, go on to PSN and download the developer videos for 6 of the circles of Hell that they have up. Much more hyped for this game now after seeing those.
