I still maintain that "Islamic" violence is a product of Middle Eastern/Southeast Asian culture and not Islam itself. I'm sure there's an exception somewhere but AFAIK every single Islamic terrorist attack in the West has been perpetrated by a first or second-generation immigrant. Western Muslims simply aren't violent.

I don't think this is really defensible since many places in south and southeast Asia also have many non-muslims. Plenty of Hindus and Bhuddists don't seem to produce the same quantities of violent individuals. There also isn't really a "middle eastern/south asian culture".

Seriously, though, you have to have some serious intolerance and hatred brewing beneath the surface to try to hurt people for saying Allah.

If Islam is a violent religion by nature, and if the default mode for Islamic people is violent extremism, how do you folks explain the millions and millions of Muslims that go about their lives peacefully every day, all over the world?

It's not. It is however, easily susceptible. It's like gasoline - not on fire in its default state, but easily ignited. Especially when being thrown at a church.
