What was that keyboard where each key was an LCD screen that you could put anything on? Sweet concept, but white elephant in the end.

This looks somewhat more practical though.

No, they mention that one in the article, I think. Yeah, that was the legendary Optimus Maximus, they say. If this one was wireless, I'd jump on it.

Some people like the colors and lights, bells and whistles. Others don't.

Honestly, its a silly keyboard to me, flash not substance. It is a cute toy, but does it do anything to make the keyboard work better? Do we really need a toy keyboard?

So, I see the point, but don't think too many people will be using the pretty light up features past the first month of screwing around with it.
