That aside I've loved the new season. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for ever suggesting that they should have just tried to finish things up last season.

Not necessarily. Chuck never flashed on Jill, who turned out to be fulcrum, until he knew her codename. Also she could just not be on the intersect's radar yet.

I am very disappointed with the way the Morgan/Ellie thing played out. I had high hopes for hijinx and hilarity.

I agree, I expected that to be a running subplot gag, but instead it was yet another broken hearted morgan gag. Poor Morgan, guy just can't catch a break. Regardless, this season has definitely been lackluster. Chuck was the audiences normal-guy connection to the world of awesome spying, and now that he's taking the darker path it's difficult to maintain that. They need to get back on track quick, my wife is already talking about how she's almost done with the show.

Chuck is still awesome and "Chuck vs. the Tic Tac" and "Chuck vs. the Final Exam" are both fantastic. Kristin Kreuk's contract was for 6 episodes but she's only been in five so far.
