Not necessarily my "favorite song", but a celebration of one-[wo]man-band digital looper prowess.

I present KT Tunstall in all her loopery goodness

Here is a two part video tutorial breaking the entire process down for that song. It's quite awesome that she would put something like this together...

"It's quite simple really..." (heh.. NOT)
Spoiler:

This dude, while not KT, still rocks rocks the looper !

Starts a bit slow, but gets awesomer as it goes! (he even got the cowbell in there!)

more awesomeloopergoodness

Not a huge fan of the song, but he has a lot of fun with it.

Playing with a looper is no small task. It's like playing a second instrument at the same time. It's really really easy to screw it up. These are a brave brave (and talented) people, doing this live, (even if it is in a dive bar somewhere...)

Midgen, seeing the video of her doing that live is what turned me on to KT Tunstall. It's quite neat, and she's got a nice set of pipes.

This one's for Raell and Hokanu.

I think I heard that song in a a starbucks or something. Discovered the youtubes of her live later. There is just something magical about that specific performance.

Sadly I saw her on Soundstage (PBS) recently playing with her band, and she did not do the looper thing. It was a completely different song to me.

That particular video, especially the last minute or two, were something. I believe that it won her an award (grammy?), and more or less launched her career.

Um...I just listened to the lyrics, Riov. The song is about a guy who sucks in bed, is selfish, and is a minute-man.

Lyrics:
Spoiler:
Oh, he treats me with respect,
He says he loves me all the time,
He calls me 15 times a day,
He likes to make sure that im fine,
You know I've never met a man,
Whose made me feel quite so secure,
He's not like all them other boys,
They're so dumb and immature.

There's just one thing,
That's getting in the way,
When we go up to bed your just no good,
its such a shame!
I look into your eyes,
I want to get to know you,
And then you make this noise,
its apparent its all over

Its not fair,
And i think your really mean,
I think your really mean,
I think your really mean.

Oh your supposed to care,
But you never make me scream,
You never make me scream,

Oh it's not fair,
And it's really not ok,
It's really not ok,
It's really not ok,

Oh your supposed to care,
But all you do is take, yea all you do is take

Yewell I lie here in the wet patch in the middle of the bed
I'm feeling pretty hard done by, I spent ages giving head
then I remember all the nice things that you've ever said to me
maybe I'm just overreacting, maybe your the one for me

there's just one thing that's getting in the way
when we go up to bed you're just not good it's such a shame
I look into your eyes I want to get to know you
and then you make this noise and its apparent it's all over

it's not fair and I think your really mean
I think your really mean
I think your really mean

oh your supposed to care but you never make me scream
you never make me scream

oh it's not fair and it's really not ok
it's really not ok
it's really not ok

oh your supposed to care but all you do is take
all you do is take

there's just one thing that's getting in the way
when we go up to bed you're just not good it's such a shame
I look into your eyes I want to get to know you
and then you make this noise and its apparent it's all over

it's not fair and I think your really mean
I think your really mean
I think your really mean
oh your supposed to care but you never make me scream
you never make me scream

oh it's not fair and it's really not ok
it's really not ok
it's really not ok
oh your supposed to care but all you do is take
all you do is take

Youtube has some awesome stuff. Some of the virtual band efforts are amazing, and these guys might be the best of them.

Virtual Zeppelin, members from Japan, Canada, and various parts of the U.S. contributing...

The vocalist, surprisingly, pretty much nails Robert Plant in these...

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac.

I am currently trying to learn to play it 1\100 as well as Lindsey Buckingham. The man is unbelievable on the guitar.

Been on a guitar practicing kick lately. Trying to learn this song and Angelina by Tommy Emmanuel.

That, and I am trying to get Oonagh to show me how to upload vids to Youtube. Got a little song that I "wrote" and would like to share it here. LadyKate's video postings inspired me and I really wanted to share.

Anything by Black Keys:
Heavy Soul
I'm Glad (unreleased but can find it on the web if you look around, remake of a Captain Beefheart song)
Desperate Man
Pretty much the entire Big Come Up album

Can't get to youtube from work or I'd link some (and watch you guys's videos)

edit - Oh yeah, and Dan Auerbach's solo stuff on Keep It Hid, he's one of the two guys in Black Keys. I think youtube has "When the Night Comes".
