Raber, that would've been Edwyn Collins "A Girl Like You"

What other hits did they have?

"8th Wonder" and "Apache". I think Apache went to #4 on the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B chart, and cracked the Singles Top 40 (peaking at something like 38).

"8th Wonder" reached #82 in 1981, and "Apache" hit #52 in 1982. It was "Rapper's Delight" that reached #36 in 1979. I'm under the impression that the most common usage of a one hit wonder was that only one of their songs cracked the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.

In the end, I'd say let folks have their fun, but Linda Ronstadt is still right out, sorry DS. ;)

All good, I do however think she should have been a one hit wonder.... preferrably a semi.

Ah, you are correct. This brings up the question, however, if that is the case, do you allow say "Touch of Grey" from the Grateful Dead? It was the only single of theirs to chart on the Hot 100, making it to #9. Or what about The Firm, which charted to #28 with their single "Radioactive", but was a group including Paul Rodgers and Jimmy Page?

Technically, Grateful Dead fits the bill, though it doesn't seem right to call them a one-hit wonder.

However, in my mind, The Firm is a solid one-hit wonder, as I would say that any proposed band and its hit should stand apart from whatever measure of success the individual members may have achieved on their own or as part of a separate band. Of course that's just my opinion.
