We've had this thread before...it was such a happy thread! :D
What were some of your favorite childhood toys that you miss?

I'll start with one:

Bags of green army guys. For the 4th, I would set them up in battle array and make them endure an artillery barrage of tossed firecrackers.

This, and snipe them with the Red Ryder.

Hot Wheels die cast cars.

My brother and I would each pick a team of five cars of our favorites and sit across from each other on a flat surface. We would then each take a car from our selection and run them at each other and see whose car survived the "crash". If a car stayed upright, or crashed and landed upright, it was still in. Otherwise, that car is out. Last one left with any vehicles was the winner.

This is when Hot Wheels were made out of actual metal. Those cars were some heavy sumbishes and the crashes between them were quite awesome.

Yeah, but for me, artillery barrage was more fun. :)

I had so many damn toys when I was a kid.

Army men (with jeep and tank), two full cases of Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars, wind up Evil Knievel bike (as mentioned in an earlier thread), 6-million dollar man action figure along with the Venus space probe (who remembers that!?), Battlestar Galactica viper and cylon raider with small red plastic "missiles" you could fire, tons of Micronauts with all their various vehicles (definitely among my favorite), Voltron(?) or Transformers or some other type of small metal robots with movable parts (I can't recall what they were exactly), legos, the electronic Simon game, Rubik's cube, many board games, other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Oh wait, you asked for our favorite childhood toy. Hmm...okay that's easy - when I was a teenager and got the Commodore 64 and discovered computer gaming.

Quick little funny childhood story. When I was I believe under 10, can't remember the exact age, I do remember sitting in a room on my birthday opening presents with my family including my grandparents gathered around. I opened a gift from my grandmother and it was...a Wonder Woman action figure doll...

I have this vague memory of saying something like "What is this?! I don't want this", tossing it aside, and grabbing my next present, followed by my parents' embarrassed looks and nervous laughter, and grandmother's red face.

The best thing about Speak & Spells was circuit bending them.

Circuit bent furbies are just creepy, though.

My father had one of these ... 64kb of memory and cost an insane amount of money. I'll never let him get rid of it. It was my first computer.

Not exactly a toy, but I had all of the Calvin and Hobbes books when I was little. My grandma used to read them to me :)
