Me too. My son is into them now. Makes me feel a little old but I can't help smiling when I hear him in his bedroom laughing out loud while he reads them.

As for me, in no particular order:









I'm surprised at how much the godzilla toy I had doesn't look like the movie monster. But, I got it for my 4th birthday. It could breathe fire (lever on the back made a rubbery tongue-like fire come in and out) and it had spring-loaded fists that could detatch and fire (I don't remember Godzilla ever doing that). But to a 4 year old, it was a very awesome toy.

I dunno, that's a fair approximation of Gojira. That's actually a pretty cool toy.

I guess my favorites were my Hot Wheels. Still have them, of course, original red-lines. My GI Joe - plastic head, not fuzzy, unfortunately. And Legos, in the days before the model sets. But they always seemed to pale in comparison to my cousin's Lincoln Log sets.

Oooh, now I remember - Spirograph. Man, I spent hours with that thing. Talk about OCD.

As an only child with a doting mother, I was inundated with toys. The Mouse Trap game, some football game with plastic pieces that I can't recall the name off ... I'm saving many of them for my own kids now.

Probably don't count as toys, but I really enjoyed my BB guns.

Need help with the name of this one. It was a building set that used while plastic pieces 1" x 3/8" x 3/8" with a groove on each side that would hold together flat square pieces 1" x 1" that had tabs that fit in the grooves. I think they belonged to my dad and his brothers as we only played with them at my grand-parent's house.

I had to look up Construx. I had heard of them, but never owned any. And, unfortunately, no that is not what they were. My guess is they were a 60s era, maybe even 50s era toy. We loved them.

We also had about 100 of the white plastic pieces, and it was fun just to stack and stand them to build strctures.
